Ispahan cake

I have been busy with designing mini catalogue, plenty of snack orders, however i did manage to make cake yesterday, I was supposed to bring it to my friend's bday party ..however the cake did not set well,in spite of the taste,  i might have to store it for at least 1-2 nights

i have been a BIG FAN of Pierre Herme , when I was travelling to paris, i did go to his patisserie boutique and spend almost EU100 for his cakes and speciality...i know it's insane... but it was worth every penny.

the cake is called ispahan cake, Pierre Herme was the creator of ispahan flavour..since i am a failure in making macarons, i tried to make the cake instead...

here's the pic.. i am not proud with the presentation..however the taste was magnificent.

A dear friend of mine ordered this on a very last minute ... geezzz....so i was up this very early morning just to make this lovely cake :)

will be launching several new menu on my ice outlet shop... again..the weather was not friendly throughout the whole day... luckily the sun was out later in the afternoon, but it was not long enough .. kinda troublesome though...had to move back n forth on each menu...

Felice's Happy Kitchen ...

The story behind Felice's Happy Kitchen,

it happened on last weekend, during  my casual talk with one of my besties, since she knew that I had my new hobby goin on, she suggested that i should took a picture with the food that i made . well that's a good idea, i've never thought of that before..
As soon as I finished my kitchen work, getting ready to deliver pear tartin , I dragged my maid to take a picture for me..and the results were...disaster .. no surprise...several shoots need to be taken in order to get it right..which for me ..was not that right..
anyway..i was with my life companion i.e my smartphone ... started jiggling the apps, then i made my own logo and the name of the new brand just coming out that instant Felice's Happy Kitchen... why do i choose happy kitchen.. if my feelings are happy and at peace... i can do  anything and be creative :)
I already have 2 brands names, and neither of them were perfect fit , since i can make from appetizers to beverages , i need one brand to cover everything...hence Felice's HappyKitchen is invented

most of friends are laughing hard at my logo... whatever.,,at least that is me :)

French Apple Tart Tatin

I was youtube-ing yesterday morning on Gordon Ramsay F word kitchen, I have always a very BIG FAN of him, well anyway he was making this easy peesy french apple tart tatin ... yups it's true..dead easy, only take couple of minutes , not much work needed. Too bad my blow torch was not working , It would have been great to have some caramelized effect on the photos ...

Adding vanila ice cream should be nice ..too bad I don't have ice cream at home .

Nasi Bogana

Heading to the kitchen early , I was planning to make Nasi Bogana today. One of the most popular rice dishes in indonesia, similar to nasi lemak. Full and rich in flavour ...
The sun was hiding all morning, luckily my father has a reading lamp, which can be used as a lightning for my photo shoot.

Wasn't that bad for a cloudy day :) At least I was able to take some photos ...

Martabak telur

I couldn't wait to take another photos this morning, once i finished frying all the martabak which I prepared them last night, I carried all the equipment necessary for the photos shoot.. heading up to the second floor . I was not able get a single light on the ground floor since it's still early .

Today snack is martabak telur ... after the photos session done.. the martabak was gone within 60 seconds... :))

Lapis Surabaya ala Felice

I had managed to do baking yesterday after a full throttled weekend .. and it is the famous  indonesian cake Lapis Surabaya. Since the ramadhan season is coming up, I probably gonna do some baking or cooking that are very in demand during the festive season :)
So I had managed to take some photos at night, and in the morning.. to be honest,, i prefer taking photos in the morning.. certainly it produces greater results

Soups of the day or kuah kuah

the weather was so nice this morning, i just had to take advantage of the sun as natural lighting for my food photos :)
without any further explanation..i am proud to present my foodie photos.

i know it's hot, most people would probably  think i'd take pics of my new ice menus...

Those two dishes are indonesian dishes. Top pic is called asam-asam pedas sapi or hot sour spicy beef , the other one is ayam tuturuga or manadonese chicken curry...

geez..im drooling right now...
